Promoting your auction machinery on Facebook and Instagram starts with a product catalogue. Machineric can provide a CSV product feed generated directly from your website, allowing you to connect your live auction inventory to Meta Commerce Manager.
The feed can be generated in the language and currency configured for your Machineric website, so you can provide Meta with the version of your auction inventory that best matches your target market.
Once connected to Meta, you can use your catalogue for advertising and other Meta commerce features.
Before You Start
You will need:
Access to your Machineric website
A Meta Business account
Access to Meta Commerce Manager
Your Machineric auction product feed URL
The auction feed is available through the following endpoint:
https://<your-domain>/api/public_auctions
You can specify the language and currency using URL parameters.
Get Your Machineric Auction Product Feed URL
Your auction product feed is available directly from your Machineric website.
The basic URL is:
https://<your-domain>/api/public_auctions
You can specify the language and currency by adding parameters to the URL.
For example:
https://<your-domain>/api/public_auctions?language=en¤cy=eur
Or:
https://<your-domain>/api/public_auctions?language=se¤cy=sek
The parameters are added to the URL after the ?. If you want to add more than one parameter, separate them with &.
For example:
?language=en¤cy=eur
The order of the parameters does not matter, so this also works:
?currency=eur&language=en
‼️ Important
Language and currency codes must be written in lowercase.
The available language options depend on the languages configured and enabled on your Machineric website. For example, you may be able to use:
en— Englishse— Swedishes— Spanish
Your available options may be different.
The auction feed endpoint can show the available language and currency options for your website. Select the options you need and the resulting URL will provide the corresponding CSV feed.
Tip: The easiest way to check your feed is simply to open the URL in your browser. You should see the CSV file download or open, containing the auction products from your website in the selected language and currency.
Choosing the Right Language and Currency
The language and currency you use in the feed should match the market you're targeting on Meta.
For example, if your website has English and Swedish versions and you want to advertise auction machines to Swedish customers, you could use:
https://<your-domain>/api/public_auctions?language=se¤cy=sek
If you're targeting an English-speaking market where prices are shown in euros:
https://<your-domain>/api/public_auctions?language=en¤cy=eur
The exact language and currency combinations available depend on your Machineric website configuration.
If you're unsure which values to use, contact Machineric Support and we'll help you identify the correct feed URL.
What Is Included in the Feed?
The Machineric auction catalogue feed can include information such as:
Machineric ID
Availability
Condition
Price
Image
Sale price
Title
Description
Listing link
The exact information included depends on the data and configuration of your Machineric website.
Because the feed is generated from your website's auction inventory, keeping your machine data up to date in Machineric ensures that the information provided to Meta stays current.
Connect the Feed to Meta
Once you have your auction feed URL, you can add it to your catalogue in Meta Commerce Manager.
The general process is:
Open your catalogue in Meta Commerce Manager.
Go to Products or Data Sources.
Select Add → Data File.
Choose the option to use a URL.
Paste your Machineric auction CSV feed URL.
Choose your upload schedule.
Complete the setup and let Meta process the feed.
For the complete and up-to-date instructions on creating and connecting a data feed, see Meta's official guide:
We recommend setting up a scheduled upload so Meta regularly retrieves the latest version of your Machineric auction feed.
For example, if your auction inventory is updated regularly, you can configure Meta to fetch the feed on a recurring schedule.
Keeping Your Catalogue Updated
You don't need to manually export your auction inventory every time a machine changes.
Your Machineric auction feed is generated from your website, so when your auction inventory data changes, the next time Meta retrieves the feed it can receive the updated information.
This can include changes such as:
New auction machines being added
Machines being removed
Updated prices
Updated descriptions
Updated specifications
Changes to availability
For this reason, we recommend using a scheduled feed upload in Meta rather than uploading the CSV manually each time.
Need a Different Language or Currency?
You can create different auction feed URLs by changing the language and currency parameters.
For example:
api/public_auctions?language=en¤cy=eur
api/public_auctions?language=se¤cy=sek
api/public_auctions?language=es¤cy=eur
The available languages depend on what has been configured for your website.
If you need help finding the correct combination, contact Machineric Support and we'll provide the appropriate auction feed URL.
Need Help?
If you have trouble connecting your catalogue, first check that your auction feed URL opens correctly in a browser and that you're using a supported language and currency.
If the URL works but Meta reports an issue with the feed, send the error message to Machineric Support and we'll help you determine whether the issue is with the feed or the Meta catalogue setup.
💡Hot Tip: Add Both For Sale and Auction Items
If you want to advertise both your regular For Sale inventory and your Auction inventory in the same Meta product catalogue, you can use the combined Machineric feed:
https://<your-domain>/api/all_listings
This feed combines your For Sale and Auction listings, allowing you to connect both types of inventory to Meta through a single product feed.
You can also specify the language and currency in the same way:
https://<your-domain>/api/all_listings?language=en¤cy=eur
This can be a convenient option if you want Meta to receive your complete Machineric inventory through one feed.
Track Advertising Performance
For even better campaign insights, you can connect Google Tag Manager to your Machineric website.
Using Google Tag Manager you can add:
Meta Pixel
Google Analytics 4
Google Ads Conversion Tracking
Microsoft Clarity
Other marketing and analytics tools
For visitor tracking, you'll also need a Cookie Consent solution that supports Google Consent Mode. You're free to use the provider of your choice and implement it through Google Tag Manager.
