Promoting your machinery on Facebook and Instagram starts with a product catalogue. Machineric can provide a CSV product feed generated directly from your website, allowing you to connect your live inventory to Meta Commerce Manager.
The feed can be generated in the language and currency configured for your Machineric website, so you can provide Meta with the version of your inventory that best matches your target market.
Once connected to Meta, you can use your catalogue for advertising and other Meta commerce features.
Before You Start
You will need:
Access to your Machineric website
A Meta Business account
Access to Meta Commerce Manager

The feed is provided as a CSV file and follows this format:

Get Your Machineric Product Feed URL
Your product feed is available directly from your Machineric website.
The basic URL is:
You can also specify the language and currency using URL parameters.

The parameters are added to the URL after the ?. If you want to add more than one parameter, separate them with &.
For example:
?language=en¤cy=eur
The order of the parameters does not matter, so this also works:
?currency=eur&language=en
Important
Language and currency codes must be written in lowercase.
The available language options depend on the languages configured and enabled on your Machineric website. For example, you may be able to use:
en — English
se — Swedish
es — Spanish
Your available options may be different.
If you enter an unsupported language or currency, the feed will indicate which options are available for your website.
Tip: The easiest way to check your feed is simply to open the URL in your browser. You should see the CSV file download or open, containing the products from your website in the selected language and currency.
Choosing the Right Language and Currency
The language and currency you use in the feed should match the market you're targeting on Meta.
For example, if your website has English and Swedish versions and you want to advertise machines to Swedish customers, you could use:

Because the feed is generated from your website inventory, keeping your machine data up to date in Machineric ensures that the information provided to Meta stays current.
Connect the Feed to Meta
Once you have your feed URL, you can add it to your catalogue in Meta Commerce Manager.
The general process is:
Open your catalogue in Meta Commerce Manager.
Go to Products or Data Sources.
Select Add → Data File.
Choose the option to use a URL.
Paste your Machineric CSV feed URL.
Choose your upload schedule.
Complete the setup and let Meta process the feed.

We recommend setting up a scheduled upload so Meta regularly retrieves the latest version of your Machineric feed.
For example, if your inventory is updated throughout the day, you can configure Meta to fetch the feed daily.
Keeping Your Catalogue Updated
You don't need to manually export your inventory every time a machine changes.
Your Machineric feed is generated from your website, so when your inventory data changes, the next time Meta retrieves the feed it can receive the updated information.
This includes changes such as:
New machines being added
Machines being sold
Price changes
Updated descriptions
Updated specifications
Changes to availability
For this reason, we recommend using a scheduled feed upload in Meta rather than uploading the CSV manually each time.
Need a Different Language or Currency?
You can create different feed URLs by changing the language and currency parameters.
